Chewing gums from Middle East do not contain the necessary amount of xylitol

A recent study has showed that almost all sugar-free gums including xylitol that are sold in Middle East have incorrect information in labelling.

Moreover, the gums labels give the information about recommended doze nor the amount of xylitol in product. Lack of xylitol leads to inadequate caries prevention.

The study was aimed at identifying how many sugar-free chewing gums made in in the GCC region provide the real amount of xylitol that combat dental caries.
